Welcome

The 44th Annual Prairie Universities Biological Symposium (PUBS 2010) will be held at Brandon University, Brandon, Manitoba, Canada.

PUBS originated at the University of Manitoba in 1967. Since then, Brandon University has hosted this conference twice. PUBS began as a way to bring together students from isolated and scattered prairie universities to exchange ideas with other students and faculty. The conference has been hosted by nine universities in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and North Dakota.

True to its roots, PUBS remains a small, relaxed conference organized by graduate students for other graduate students and senior undergraduate students. PUBS regularly attracts around 100 students each year and spans a diverse number of faculties including: biochemistry, biology, botany, chemistry, conservation biology, ecology, entomology, environmental biology, geography, geology, kinesiology, neuroscience, paleobiology, physiology, psychology, and zoology.
